Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Minim handles information when you use our personal inventory and values-based shopping research service at www.minim-app.com.

Information we handle

• Accounts: an account identifier, email address when provided, authentication credentials and session information, and email verification or password-reset activity. Guests also have an anonymous account identifier; guest does not mean that nothing is stored.
• Optional profile: display name, broad shopping location, age range, gender, and about-me text you choose to provide.
• Your belongings and values: inventory details, ownership status, notes, estimated values, and your ranked personal values and descriptions.
• Research: queries, budgets, descriptions, shopping location, preferences, generated recommendations, sources, and saved research history. Research snapshots can include the values and context used at the time and links to inventory items.
• Image entry: photos or receipts you submit for AI-assisted inventory drafts. Minim sends these images for processing and does not save the uploaded image as a file in its database or storage bucket. Extracted drafts and items you save may remain.
• Operation and billing: usage counts, AI model and token-usage metrics, subscription and customer identifiers, subscription status and paid-period dates, and event-ordering information used to keep billing updates consistent. Hosting, authentication, and security services also process request information such as IP addresses and browser details. Guest abuse controls use keyed network hashes.
• Support: your email address and the information you include when contacting us.

How information is used and shared

We use this information to operate your workspace, authenticate access, personalize requested research, enforce usage limits, manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and respond to support requests.

Research requests and ranked values are sent to Google Gemini. Relevant portions of your optional profile and inventory may also be included to answer your request. Uploaded images are sent to Gemini for extraction. Avoid submitting sensitive information or images you do not want processed by an AI provider.

• Supabase provides authentication and the database for accounts, workspace records, research, usage, and subscription state.
• Vercel hosts the app and server requests.
• Stripe processes checkout, payment details, recurring billing, and the billing portal. Minim stores billing identifiers and status rather than full payment-card details.
• Resend delivers account emails through the configured SMTP service.
• Cloudflare Turnstile processes verification signals to help protect authentication against automated abuse.
• Google Gemini processes AI research and image-entry requests, including search-grounded research.

These providers process information under their own terms, settings, and privacy practices, which may include logs and retention outside Minim. Processing may occur outside your country. Following a product or source link takes you to a third-party website governed by its own policies.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, or protect users and the service.

Cookies and browser storage

Authentication uses session cookies. Browser storage remembers your theme, account-specific drafts, and temporary page or research state used when returning from authentication. Clearing it can remove unsaved work or access to a guest session; it does not delete records already stored on the server.

Retention and deletion

Workspace records and saved research remain until deleted or removed through account handling; signing out, abandoning a guest session, or canceling Plus does not automatically erase them. Editing or deleting a current profile or value does not rewrite older research snapshots.

You can edit or delete inventory, values, and your optional profile using the app, and export available account data in Profile & settings. Contact support@minim-app.com for account deletion, research-history deletion, access, correction, or other data questions. We may need to verify your identity before acting, especially if you no longer have your guest session.

We do not promise immediate removal from all backups or provider systems. Some billing, security, or support records may need to be retained for legal obligations or dispute handling. Provider retention and backup schedules are separate from deleting active app records. Cancel a subscription through the billing portal as well as requesting account deletion.

Security and your choices

We use authenticated access, database ownership policies, and server-side controls to restrict access to private records. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials and verification codes private. Profile fields and image entry are optional; you can use manual inventory entry instead.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your information, or to contact a privacy regulator. Send requests to support@minim-app.com.

Children and updates

Minim is not intended for children under 13 or anyone below the minimum age for using the service where they live. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date identifies the current version; material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. Questions: support@minim-app.com.
